Oksana lived with her family in Ukraine 25km west of Keiv. In March 2022, her apartment was bombed by the Russians and they were forced to leave. Oksana and her daughter travelled to Princes Risborough in the Chilterns in UK as part of the Ukraine2Chilterns programme.
